If you are looking for a way to ensure your business stands out, hiring a professional creative designer is a great investment to make. In a world where first impressions are more important than ever, making sure your shopfront looks good is vital.
A professional creative designer should:
- Take the time to understand what key messages you want to convey with your visual brand
- Provide you with guidance and advice on what works and what doesn’t when it comes to visual communication
- Answer the brief you set, not provide a design just because they think it works better or they like it
I can help you create:
- Custom logos
- Custom website designs
- Printed materials such as business cards, flyers, posters and mailers
- Online materials such as Twitter backgrounds, custom website graphics and buttons
If you’d like to talk with me about your project, please complete my Request for Proposal form and I’ll be in touch shortly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do your design services cost?
This is one of the most common but toughest questions to answer! It usually depends on a number of factors including:
- What you need designing (a logo, a basic flyer, a poster or a website)
- Complexity of the design you want
- Whether it includes any custom elements such as illustrations
- The time frame you’re working to
To give you a rough idea, a basic logo design usually starts from around £500 and can run up to around £1,500.
Do you organise the printing of business cards or other materials?
No, but I do provide print-ready files and will work to whatever specifications your printer requires. I can liaise with your printer if required but I do charge a fee for this. If you’re based in the UK, I can recommend a number of good printers that I’ve worked with previously and whose printing results are the high quality I look for.
How long will it take for you to design my thing?
It depends! I will advise you of the time frame of your project when I send a quote but I can usually work to the time frames you need. I do charge an additional fee for any rush jobs e.g. if you need something completed within the next 72 hours, that’s a rush job.
What happens next? How does this work?
As soon as you submit your RFP (Request for Proposal), I’ll take a look and get back to you with a quote if I think we can help. Once you’ve agreed to proceed, I’ll ask you for a 50% deposit before we schedule your project in and begin to work on it.
I’ll also provide you with a proposed timeline so you know what/when I’ll need from you and what to expect from me when. Once I’ve worked on your initial concept, I’ll send it over with some basic explanation of what I’ve done and why.
When you sign off the concept, I’ll proceed to complete the final design and then send over the final files in whatever format you/your printer needs.
How many concepts/mock-ups will I get?
You’ll get one. I’ve found from experience that I usually get it right first time and would rather send you my ‘ultimate’ concept from the start into which I’ve put all my expertise, experience and effort. If I don’t get it right first time, I’ll send you my “sketch” pad to see if there are any other ideas which you’d like to work up. This may incur an additional fee.
What file formats do you provide?
I can provide illustrator EPS files, jpg files or whatever file format you need.
Sounds great! How do I get started?
If you’d like to get started, please submit an RFP and I’ll be in touch as soon as we can to discuss your project.
